Fender unveiled its “Tweed” series amps to great success and acclaim in 1993. The concept: What if a great old collectable 1950s Deluxe or Bassman® was customized with channel switching and reverb?

The Fender Blues DeVille offers classic Fender looks and bluesy sound with useful modern features.  For years, the choice of professional musicians has been Fender vintage amplifiers because of their incredibly warm tone and dynamic perfomance characteristics.  Unfortunately, not only are these amps getting harder to find, but, during a performance there is only one sound available.  Channel switching didn't exist in the '50s!

Due to its channel switching capabilities, the Blues DeVille is really two vintage amps in one.  The NORMAL channel is based on the original tweed Bassman circuit of the late '50s.  The DRIVE channel shares the same tone controls but has separate Drive and Master controls.
